It was a dark and stormy night …

Did sentences like that send a chill down your spine when you were a kid? Were you that little bookworm curled up at the back of library in a nest of piled up tomes, lost in the fascinating fictional world that the words on the pages had spun in your head? Did you want to tell those kinds of stories of your own? Maybe sketching out a mystery story in the back of your math notebook, or writing a sci-fi opus on your mom’s computer?

No? Maybe it wasn’t fiction that attracted you to writing at all. Maybe you started a blog in high school that gained 2.000 followers the weekend it went live. Or, maybe, friends and teachers just always told you that your writing was clear and concise, and pulled them along as they read.

Why do people do what they do?

I have no idea

Take my online classes for instance (since this is an education blog, it seems to make sense to talk about my courses). Online works for me, but I never thought about why others take them...

Until this week.

My professor just posted a discussion in one of my online classes that asked "Why did you take this class online?"

Figuring I could gain some insight, I compiled a TOP 5 List of reasons why online was chosen over face-to-face.
