Do you have a waitlist in your Canvas course?

As the fall 2017 semester gets underway, CU Online wanted to remind our community about what the waitlist student process includes.

All students, including waitlisted students, are enrolled in their respective course(s) at the beginning of the term from CU-SIS. Due to university policy, waitlisted students stay in a course up until the Census date of every semester (the fall 2017 Census date is Wednesday, September 6 at 5:00pm). After the Census deadline passes, waitlisted students are then purged from course(s). This process mirrors that of face-to-face courses, in that students will attend class in case they do get rolled into the course from the waitlist, but will be dropped from the course roster after Census.

With that, faculty can inform waitlisted students that they will not be accepting waitlisted students in their course and the students can drop accordingly.
