Screen Shot 2017-01-10 at 2.24.04 PM.pngMicrosoft Office365 is now an external app (LTI) available for integration within your Canvas course! It accesses the Microsoft OneDrive account directly via your CU login. Collaborative tools through Office365 are an excellent way for students to work virtually on group projects or papers, take shared notes, etc. Instructors or students can set up group collaborations. Collaborative document options include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Assignment submission is also a feature available within Office365, but does not come without limitations. For instance, a student may continue to make changes to an assignment after the submission. Also, after an assignment it submitted the gradebook defaults it to a score of “0”… so you may want to “hide” the assignment until you have a chance to complete the grading.

The Office365 app must be added to each individual Canvas course, using a unique key and password. For assistance in installing the Office365 app to your course, please contact the CUOnline team at CUOnlineHelp@ucdenver.edu or (303) 315-3700.
