Is your online or hybrid course ready for the Spring 2018 semester? Fear not, CU Online has a lineup up of workshops and trainings starting in January to help you prepare; everything from basic Canvas training to student success strategies, we have you covered!

Winter Web Camp
January 9-12
Downtown - Lawrence Street Center, Room 1300D
‘Go for the gold’ this semester with CU Online! You’re invited to join us for our annual Winter Web Camp, featuring four days of online best practices, teaching strategies, and new technologies and tools you won’t want to miss! You may register for just one day, come for them all, or attend virtually when available. On the fourth day of Winter Web Camp, we’ve dedicated an entire day to Canvas Open Lab where you can work on your course in a quiet space, with CU Online staff ready to assist you.

TA Tech Camp

This hands-on training is designed specifically for teaching assistants! TA’s will learn the basics of Canvas and the best practices for teaching in an online classroom. Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops. Dinner provided!

Do you want to use Canvas to help your students succeed? In this workshop, you will start building your course through guided, hands-on instruction. You will get a basic overview of the Canvas interface and learn strategies for sharing content and increasing student engagement. Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops. Interested in a one-on-one consultation with a friendly CU Online staff member? We would like to sit down with you over lunch and hear about any burning questions you might have about instructional design, best practices for teaching online, accessibility, or any Canvas-related questions. One of our staff members at CU Online will bring lunch to your office and meet with you for one hour. We are excited for this opportunity to serve you better!
